Cladding

Project Remediate, Rosebery

Project Remediate is a significant three-year initiative introduced by the NSW Government in 2020 to remove combustible cladding from high-risk residential apartment buildings across the state, aiming to prevent fire hazards similar to incidents like the Grenfell Tower tragedy in London. The program was established following Australian legislative changes and is set to span from 2020 onwards.

Initial inspections of 30 buildings have already been completed, involving a comprehensive review of council documents, identification and investigation of cladding panels, laboratory testing of combustible materials, and the preparation of detailed reports forming the basis of new facade designs. The team is committed to the program, recognizing its critical role in ensuring life safety within these buildings.

Strust was engaged by ICEN Group to provide façade engineering and certification for the Aluminium and glazing facade.
